Presentation on Endangered Species Act Section 7 Consultation to Corps of Engineers Detroit District Regulatory Office Staff Training
Midwest Region, March 26, 2014
Print Friendly Version

East Lansing Field Office biologist Barbara Hosler provided an overview and "refresher" on Endangered Species Act Section 7 consultation procedures to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District Regulatory Office during their annual staff training. The presentation also included background information on species that occur in Michigan and are currently proposed for listing under the Act. The session generated a follow-up conference call to discuss consultation needs and conservation efforts for federally listed mussel species, snuffbox in particular, that occur within the Corps' jurisdiction in the state.
