Enbridge Oil Spill in 2010 Used as a Case Study in the National Response Team’s Newly Released “USE OF VOLUNTEERS GUIDELINES FOR OIL SPILLS”

The National Response Team, chaired by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, recently released new national guidance on the use of volunteers during oil spills. Lisa Williams of the East Lansing Field Office assisted U.S. EPA by providing a case study on how volunteers were used as part of the response to oiled wildlife resulting from the Enbridge Energy pipeline break in July of 2010.
