Quota Turkey Hunt Procedures: 2013-2014 Season
Quota Hunt permits are required for both the Youth and Adult Turke Hunts. There is a $12.50 fee per permit. All Permits are non-transferable and nonrefundable and must be in the possession of each hunter during the Quota Hunts.
A total of 50 permits will be issued for each the Youth and Adult Turkey Quota Hunts. Important dates are listed below:
- Application Period: January 2, 2014 – January 31, 2014
- Drawing and Hunter Notification: February 7, 2014
- Quota Adult Turkey Hunt: April 19, 20, 21, 2014
- Quota Youth Turkey Hunt: April 12, 13, 2014
In the event that the number of applicants exceed the allotted number of permits, a draw will take place. All applicants that were not selected will be refunded their fee.

How to Apply for Quota Hunts
You can now apply for quota hunts online.Online applications are the quickest and easiest way to apply and provide you with a confirmation number for your records once your application is complete. If at all possible, complete an online application.
If needed, you can also obtain a paper quota hunt application form by calling the refuge office at 870/364 3167. If you choose to submit a paper application, it must be received, not postmarked by January 31, 2014. Please mail completed applications to Felsenthal NWR, c/o Kinsail Corporation, 6841 Elm Street, PO Box #1092, McLean, VA 22101. Be sure to clearly and accurately complete all the information on the application form as incomplete or illegible applications will be discarded. Also, your permit fee must be sent with your application. Online applications are strongly encouraged to ensure that applications are received in a timely and complete manner.
Up to five hunters may apply as a hunt party. If you are applying online, you will be able to enter the other members of your group during the online application process. You will only need to enter your hunt selections once during the process, but you will need the name and address information for the other hunters in your group. Any online applications that are received separately will be treated as separate groups. If you are applying by paper application form, you will need to complete a separate application form for each hunter in your group and submit them all together to the address listed above. Only complete the hunt selections on one application. Any paper applications that are received separately will be treated as separate groups.
Please note, submissions of any person’s name more than once for the same Hunt Type will result in disqualification.
