The Entiat National Fish Hatchery (ENFH) provides educational opportunities and experiences to people of all ages. Hatchery staff welcome the public to visit the facility, learn about hatchery operations, and gain understanding about the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) fisheries program. ENFH hosts several events throughout the year that focus on aquatic education.

Entiat National Fish Hatchery is part of the Leavenworth Fisheries Complex (LFC) Information and Education (I&E) Department. This comprehensive year-round program provides natural resource education, visitor services, and public outreach to more than 150,000 visitors per year. North central Washington school districts and colleges, agency partners, and local communities are also recipients of this department’s activities.

Our I & E program goals include:

increasing knowledge of the National Fish Hatchery System, specifically the LFC hatcheries and fish species of the Columbia River Basin
creating and developing high quality natural resource interactive, educational and interpretational activities
promoting the USFWS Pacific Region’s fish and wildlife resources
fostering support and understanding of USFWS activities in our region
providing a connection between people and nature
increasing awareness of climate change and how individuals can be involved
