Girls learning more about their habitat. Endangered means that a species is in danger of extinction in the near future throughout all or most of its range; endangered, however, also means there is still time.

The loss of just one species can cause many others to disappear with it.

Why?

Species are linked and dependent upon each other within their ecosystems.

Unfortunately, we are losing at an alarming rate our incredible diversity of species.
