Overview

The Oregon Zoo is raising and releasing endangered Oregon silverspot and Taylor's checkerspot butterflies for release back into the wild. The indicator species, besides being important pollinators, tell us about the overall health of coastal prairie habitat. We see the process and the program to educate the public about the habitat degradation that endangers them.
