Habitat Conservation Planning
A major focus in recent years has been working with local and state governments, private land owners, irrigation and conservation districts, to develop Habitat Conservation Plans (HCP’s) for listed species.

UCFWO is providing
technical assistance during development of a watershed-wide Bi-State HCP
involving state agencies, cities, counties, Tribes, irrigation districts,
conservation groups, and others. Federal funds have been provided for development
of this HCP.
Additional watershed HCP’s are being developed with partners in the Spokane and Wenatchee offices.
