Black and white wash and tempera painting of Ruddy Ducks by Edwin R. Kalmbach, a noted scientist and conservationist. Mr. Kalmbach served as Director of the Fish and Wildlife Service's research laboratory at Denver, Colorado, until 1954. (Deceased)
