Federal Duck Stamp is one of the most successful and well-known conservation
programs in history, generating millions of dollars for habitat acquisition.
The Duck Stamp itself is a recognized work of art, annually featuring
works by some of the nation's most prominent wildlife artists. The
Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest and associated events also represent
an excellent sponsorship opportunity for corporations and individuals
seeking to make a difference and to be associated with a popular
and enduring symbol of our nation’s conservation ethic.
Federal Duck Stamp Art Contest
Help underwrite the cost of the annual art contest. Entry fees defray some expenses, but rising costs require the Duck Stamp Office to contribute an ever-increasing amount of money to stage the contest each year. Estimated Annual Cost: $75,000.

The Federal Duck Stamp Original Art Tour
Help sponsor the national tour of the Federal Duck Stamp Contest's top art to museums, wildlife and fine art expositions by financing the travel costs (airfare, car rental and lodging) of one Federal Duck Stamp Office employee who will represent the Service at the event and give presentations regarding the contest and Duck Stamp program. Estimated Cost per Event: $2,000. Estimated Cost of the Tour Season: $20,000. (Sponsor has the option to select one event, several events or all events.)

First Day of Sale Ceremony
Help
sponsor a dinner, lunch, or reception for the First Day Sale event of the
issue for the new Federal Duck Stamp and Junior Duck Stamp. Estimated Cost: $5,000.

Legal Authority:
Under a Memorandum of Agreement dated June 22, 1995, the Federal Duck Stamp
Office was granted authority by the Secretary of the Interior,
under provisions of the Fish and Wildlife Act of 1956, 16 USC 742 (f)(b),
to accept contributions to support Federal Duck Stamp activities.
The
act provides that ". . .the Secretary of the Department of the Interior is
authorized to accept any gifts, devises, or bequests of real and personal property,
or proceeds therefrom. . . ."
Contributions
to support Federal Duck Stamp activities may be accepted as gifts of money,
equipment, services or other in-kind contributions to further the wildlife
conservation goals of the Federal Duck Stamp Office.
