Cactus in bloom on the Refuge

Reptiles - coachwhip, spiny lizard, and collared lizard.

Amphibians - Great Plains toad.

Birds - vermillion flycatcher, black-chinned hummingbird, lazuli bunting, Bullocks oriole, hooded oriole, snowy egret, brown-crested kingbird, spotted sandpiper, white-faced ibis, black-necked stilt, American avocet, Wilson's phalarope, long-eared owl, blue-gray gnatcatcher, common yellowthroat, Wilson's warbler, and yellow warbler.

Plants in bloom - sacred datura, desert globemallow, indian paintbrush, scorpionweed, beavertail cactus, hedgehog cactus, purple sage, and creosote bush.
