Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge is a haven for rare plants and animals. Established in 1984, Ash Meadows is managed to protect threatened and endangered species some which are not found anywhere else on earth. In a world of dwindling natural areas, especially wetlands, the refuge protects a unique piece of the Earth. See Ash Meadows Brochure 2011 (PDF 3.2 Mb) for more information.
