Do you like to work with teens and adults? Are you interested in wildlife and ecology? Then apply for the Volunteer Coordinator position at Deer Flat NWR.

This AmeriCorps member will work with refuge staff to improve and expand the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge volunteer and service learning programs. The member will 1) recruit, orient, and train new volunteers and organize formal and informal volunteer recognition events; 2) work with staff and volunteers to identify volunteer projects and develop position descriptions; 3) coordinate individual and group projects, including wildlife and habitat, administrative, visitor services, and maintenance projects; and 4) develop new and improve existing service learning partnerships..
