Abstract:: This data set depicts public roads and related features such as parking lots that are located on National Wildlife Refuges. Coverage is nationwide; if the data you are looking for is not yet posted, please come back soon. The primary source for this data is a survey conducted by the Federal Highway Administration during the years 2000 and 2001, using GPS units.
Purpose:: The intended application of the data is a baseline inventory of publicly used roads and related facilities in the National Refuge System. The Federal Highway Administration will fund maintenance on many of these facilities, but an inventory is required as part of that funding.

The receivers offer 1-3 meter resolution, depending on the time of the data collection and the ground cover. This data was then exported using the WGS 1984 datum, in Latitude & Longitude coordinates. Any use should not exceed these accuracy constraints.
