Farmer's Home Administration Properties - Boundary Information; Louisiana

This data set contains FmHA inventory properties in the State of Louisiana acquired by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Wildlife Refuge System, or Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) and currently managed by those agencies, and land under private ownership that have conservation easements on a portion of the property. Under this program, when a landowner defaults on an FmHA loan, and that property contains wetlands, those wetlands receive protection through: (1) perpetual conservation easements, or (2) fee title transfer to a Federal or State fish and wildlife agency for management. All FmHA tracts from 1986 through the present are contained in one dataset. An accompanying dataset containing the 7.5-minute USGS topographic quadrangles where the projects occurred was also created. A look-up table with additional information (such as: project number, easement acreage, management agency, etc.) on the projects was created and is included in the project boundary export file. Project Boundaries and Quad Maps are zipped E00 format.
