Progress Summary:
The two major efforts of Research Work Order 42, Vector GIS Data Layer development and Landsat Image Classification, continued to dominate our efforts during FY 1995-1996. The vector GIS effort is not documented extensively in this short summary report. Our FY 1995-1996 Annual Report is in preparation now and will be available within the month. However, some of the synthesized vector maps that we have compiled to support multi- organizational, ecosystem management in Northern California and Southern Oregon, are summarized here. These include:
In the remote sensing area, we continued to classify 1994 Landsat Thematic Mapper Imagery to compile a regional, existing vegetation layer, completing approximately 75 percent of the region.
