GIS Data Applications

Current GIS and GPS Applications in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

There are an increasing number of uses of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Global Positioning Systems (GPS) in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). Many of these applications are aimed at problems that exist in a number of FWS offices . Hopefully by presenting these examples here, other offices will get ideas on new ways to do business' as well as expanding their network of FWS contacts within their programs.
