Call for Nominations for The Pollinator Advocate Award

The North American Pollinator Protection Campaign's (NAPPC) is pleased to solicit nominees for our annual Pollinator Advocate Award. This award recognizes individuals and/or organizations which have contributed significantly to pollinator conservation, and to public education which results in increased awareness of the importance of pollination. All activities that contribute significantly toward pollinator conservation will be considered, including but not limited to on-the-ground projects, educational programs, policies and partnerships, pollinator research, or management activities that promote pollinators NAPPC partners are not eligible for this award. You may submit more than one nomination. Up to 5 awards will be given each year to worthy recipients in the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Recipients will be recognized at the NAPPC reception during the Annual Meeting. Nominations are due by Friday, September 18, 2009.

NAPPC is a group of more than 90 partners and affiliated organizations, including the Fish and Wildlife Service, working to promote and implement a continent-wide Action Plan to encourage activities that protect the numbers and health of resident and migratory pollinating animals.
