Bull ElkRefuge Hours – The Whitcomb-Cole Hewn Log House, public restrooms, and the Willard Springs Trail are all near the refuge office. These areas are open everyday during daylight hours. The rest of the refuge is closed, except for waterfowl hunting and fishing during the state's regular open season period.

Parking is allowed in designated parking areas only. The refuge is open for day use only; no overnight parking is allowed. Overnight camping is available at Glenwood and Trout Lake.

Road Views – Please be cautious and courteous when pulling off the road. Parking is available west of the BZ/Glenwood Highway.

The following are prohibited on the refuge: dogs off leash, camping, off-road vehicles, and collecting of plants, animals, minerals, antlers and artifacts.
