Mule deer
A mule deer buck on the Refuge
Hunting is allowed of mule deer and white-tailed deer on designated areas of the Refuge. These species must be hunted in accordance with State regulations subject to the following conditions. Only shotgun and archery hunting is allowed. Deer hunting is only allowed during State deer seasons that run concurrently with the State waterfowl season. In management unit 1 deer hunting is only allowed on Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays and Federal holidays.
