The Greenback Cutthroat Trout Recovery Team (Recovery Team) was created to integrate the expertise and resources of the agencies working towards the conservation and recovery of the greenback cutthroat trout.
The Recovery Team is a multi-agency conservation effort and includes representatives from federal and state agencies. Voting members of the Recovery Team include one member from each of the following agencies: Colorado Parks and Wildlife, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Additional partners include Colorado Trout Unlimited.
Although the role of the Recovery Team is strictly advisory in nature, team members are closely involved in reintroduction, population monitoring, and habitat improvement efforts. Members assist in review of the recovery plan and provide recommendations to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service regarding the appropriate methods and priorities for recovery efforts.
