Conservation Partnerships
CPP program is designed to do several things: 1) Bring a higher level of recognition to developing partnerships and leveraging funding as the desired way of doing business; 2) Provide a cross-programmatic platform for enhancing the delivery of habitat restoration and conservation efforts; 3) Integrate the myriad of inherent partnerships within CPP programs through coordination and communication to provide a greater funding base and pool of expertise to effect restoration projects; 4) Seek opportunities to further the Service's mission through active engagement with a variety of non-traditional public and private partner organizations. The California Nevada Operations Office has developed a unique program called the Conservation Partnerships
Program (CPP). CPP has brought together a majority of the Service's habitat
restoration initiatives into one central location to more strategically
deliver these activities. The CPP includes the Partners
for Fish and Wildlife program, Coastal program, Joint Ventures, Endangered
Species grant program(s), Federal Assistance grants to state programs, and some functions of the Migratory
Bird Management Program.
