Project Review Requests

Chesapeake Bay Field Office reviews proposed projects within the Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. region for potential impacts to federally listed endangered and threatened species in accordance with Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act.

This process is intended to assist you with requesting a species list that includes any listed or proposed species or designated or proposed critical habitat that may be present in the vicinity of your project.

Requests should be submitted in writing and should also include a map that clearly shows the boundaries of the proposed project location (and indicates the U.S. Geological Survey topographic map by name). Please send your requests to the following address:

A complete list request letter (sample below) will contain the following information:

1) Either a site location map, or a USGS 7.5 minute topographic quad with action impact area boundaries delineated.

2) A paragraph describing type of project.
