ACF Contract Laboratories
Below is the contact information for all of ACF’s contract labs. Please use this information when shipping samples or contacting a lab for additional information. This information can also be found on the ACF Web site ( chemistry.fws.gov ) and ECDMS.
ACF’s Policy on Contacting Contract Labs - Catalog submitters are encouraged to contact our laboratories to discuss their analytical needs. Most of our contract labs have indicated that they would prefer to get involved in your study, sample analysis, and sample collection as early as possible to ensure that you receive the highest quality results possible. Please copy ACF on your communication with the lab so that confirmation can be made of all analytical requests before purchase orders are generated.
For simple questions, or if you would prefer not to contact our contract labs directly, ACF will be more than happy to do so for you. Just give us call or send us an email with your questions and we will take it from there. Most ACF staff members, and our chemists, have over 20 year of experience of meeting your needs. We hope that you will make use of this experience and help us help you.
Restrictions – One area that you should not discuss with our contract labs is the negotiation of prices for analyses that are already under contract with ACF. If the lab has provided ACF with specific price, for a given analysis and matrix, then we are bound by our contract to honor that price (as are they). You cannot negotiate a lower price for an analysis under contract and still use the services of ACF. However, if you are planning to request a non-routine analysis that is not under contract, then the lab can, and should, provide you with a price quote.
If you do receive a price quote from the lab for a non-routine analysis, we encourage you to ask the lab for a written quote (an email will do) so you can include that information when you submit your catalog to ACF. Otherwise, ACF has to contact the lab to confirm the price quote.
You may also receive a special price quote from the lab if there are extenuating circumstances regarding your samples and the analyses you plan to request, even if those analyses are under contract. However, it is always a good idea to check with ACF first, before you try to negotiate any price. In fact we will be glad to contact the lab for you, for special price quotes, to ensure that you get the most for your analytical dollars.
