January through June 2008

Prescribed Fire Season. Refuge staff plan and execute prescribed burns on various refuge units during these months. Prescribed burns improve wildlife habitat and reduce the accumulation of hazardous fuels that fuel wildfires. For more information about planned burns, please contact Refuge Manager Lyne Askins at allyne_askins@fws.gov.
