More than 190 birds have been spotted at the Carolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge. Many of these birds make their nests on the Refuge. We invite you to download our complete 2001 bird listing (in .pdf). The listing includes a key that describes what time of the year you're likely to see each bird, and how common each bird is on the Refuge. You can also use the bird list as a checklist of the birds you have sighted at Carolina Sandhills or in the surrounding region.
