Location:

From Mayaguez, drive south on Route 2 (main highway) and exit (#161) Route 100 toward Cabo Rojo. When you reach Boqueron, Route 100 changes to Route 301. Drive approximately 3 miles on Route 301 KM 5.1 and look for refuge sign on the left.

The Visitors Center, 2 Mile interpretive trail, cactus garden and approximately 12 miles of hiking trails are available 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday thru Friday. Offices are closed Saturday, Sunday and on Federal Holiday's.

The Cabo Rojo Salt Flats Interpretive Center operated by the Refuge friends group is open from Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00am to 4:30 pm
