Modern Gun Quota Hunt Instructions

Cache River NWR -- November 8 - 11 and 14 - 16, 2008


Quota permits are first come, first serve.

2000 permits available.

Permit request must be sent via regular/first class U.S. Mail (priority/overnight/FedEx or in person will not be accepted).

Request must be postmarked between August 1 and August 31. Permits will be issued in the order request are received (by postmarks) or until all permits have been issued, whichever comes first.

Include the full name (first middle last), mailing address and telephone number of the permit holder and which refuge you are requesting (Cache River or Bald Knob).

Please print. Unclear or incomplete applications will be returned.

Send a money order or cashier's check for $12.50. No personal checks, cash or credit cards.

Parties of no more than 5 people will be accepted.

Please include the full names (first middle last), individual mailing addresses and individual telephone numbers for each person in your party.

Please send one money order for party request. Number of applicants X $12.50.

Permits are non-transferable and non-refundable.

FAQs

Does the quota hunt permit cover both weekends or do you apply for each weekend separately?
There is one permit. It covers all 7 days of the hunt (both weekends).

Who do I make the money order out to?
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

What happens if I send in money and there are not permits leftt?
Your money order will be returned to you. Please talk with your money order source on refund policies and keep your receipt.

How do I submit my request (what kind of paper)?
We would prefer all request be submitted on index cards or post cards but will accept plain white paper this year only.
