Bowdoin NWR is located in Northcentral Montana, 7 miles east of the town of Malta, along Old U.S. Highway 2.

Traveling EAST

On U.S. Highway 2, watch for a brown and white Refuge directional sign just east of Malta.  Turn right after this sign and follow the paved road (old U.S. Highway 2) 6 miles to the Refuge entrance.

Traveling WEST

On U.S. Highway 2, turn south (left) at the brown and white Refuge directional sign located approximately 10 miles west of the Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs Resort.  Follow the gravel road 2 miles to the 4-way intersection, and turn left again onto the paved road (old U.S. Highway 2).  This road will take you to the Refuge entrance.
