Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge
Mountain-Prairie Region
2010 Wetland Conditions

Currently, Lake Bowdoin and the Drumbo unit have sufficient water to launch a small boat for hunting purposes.  Boat motors are limited to a maximum of 25 horsepower to preserve aquatic vegetaiona and reduce damage to motors.  The motor restriction was increased from 10 horsepower maximum to 25 horsepower in 2008.

Most of the smaller wetland units still contain water.  Hunters must sign in and out each day at the Hunter Register kiosk.  Public use regulations and maps are available at the kiosk and refuge headquarters.  Office hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.  The office is closed on weekends and federal holidays.
