Events at Bon Secour.

The refuge trails and beaches are open yearround during daylight hours only. Stop by the office to view a refuge video and look at several wildlife exhibits during the week, from 7am to 3:30pm.

Several times during the year, we host special events. Check the website often for updates, and don't forget to like us on Facebook to get refuge news delivered right to your news feed!

During National Wildlife Refuge Week:

Free Guided Nature Walks at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

Come join us and learn about the plants, wildlife, ecology, and history found on the refuge. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge will be offering free guided walks starting on January 28th 2014 and continuing until March 6th 2014. The tours include a Bird Walk, a Nature Hike, and a Dynamic Dunes Beach tour. They are free to the public however a reservation is required. The walks are limited to 12 people per tour and will consist of a 1-2 hour walk.

We request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. We encourage you to bring binoculars but they are not necessary to enjoy the walks. Restroom facilities are available at the refuge office and on the Pine Beach Trail.
