03/10/12: 12th Annual Eagle Festival (No entrance fee)
9am - 4pm. Live eagle, peregrine falcon and other birds of prey programs, kids' programs, kids' blue bird box construction, puppet shows, Eagle Prowls (free ticket obtained on site before each Eagle Prowl), wildlife exhibits, live bird exhibits, Wildlife Drive tours, marsh hikes, and food all day.

03/31/12: Forest and Nature Walk 1pm with Shirley Bailey and Jamie Kellum (meet at Woods Trail) -
Saturday forest walks on the Woods Trail led by Blackwater NWR Forester Jamie Kellum and amateur naturalist Shirley Bailey. They will be talking about forest structure and forest management and how it affects the forest and interior dwelling birds. There will also be shrub and tree identification, as well as any birds that are encountered. Walks will last about 2 hours. Mosquitoes are likely, but leaders will be carrying Thermocell repellant machines.

04/14/12: Litter Pickup Day/Earth Day Celebration
9am - 3pm. Volunteers are needed to help pick up litter on the Refuge. Meet at VC Station. Call 410-228-2677.

9am - 1pm. Youths 15 and under fishing event, prizes, educational programs, photos, and lots of fun.
