March 10, 2001 Public Meeting to Discuss Bison and Elk Plan

The second public meeting involving development of a bison and elk management plan/EIS for the National Elk Refuge (NER) and Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) will be held at the Snow King Resort on Saturday, March 10 from 9 am to 4 pm. The session will focus on the design of the public involvement process with input from participants. The daylong meeting will include an afternoon question and answer session with agency personnel addressing existing conditions of the resources. Everyone is invited to attend.

The first public meeting for the bison and elk planning effort was held on February 10. Through presentations from federal and state agency representatives and breakout group discussions, areas of focus and a variety of viewpoints were defined.
