Regulations — Boating and Fishing

Fishing is allowed if you have a valid Georgia fishing license and follow state laws.

We only allow the use of pole and line or rod and reel, which the angler must attend at all times.

Sport fishing is allowed after legal sunset; but we prohibit all other activity after legal sunset.

Marking of paths or navigational routes are prohibited.

Swimming, wading, jet skiing, water skiing, and the use of airboats is prohibited.

Everyone in your boat must have a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life preserver.
Georgia law requires children 9 and under to wear life preservers in boats.

Additional Refuge specific regulations may apply.
