Educator Workshops

Our 2009 It's Our Water educator workshops were a success. We will llikely offer another round of It's Our Water workshops in 2010, focusing on some or all of our priority watersheds - the Upper Nolichucky, Tuckasegee, Little Tennessee, Pigeon, or Upper French Broad. Check back for details.

In addition to these workshops, numerous other organizations offer educational workshops, including:

The North Caroliina Wildlife Resources Commission offers public programs at their wildlife education centers, and educator workshops at locations across the state.

The North Carolina state park system offers educator workshops, or Enivornmental Educator Learning Experiences (EELEs). Each park offers EELEs tailored to the natural features of that park.

At Great Smoky Mountains National Park, educators can take advantage of the workshops and programs offered at their Appalahcian Highlands Science Learning Center at Purchase Knob outside Waynesville, North Carolina.

The Pisgah Forest Insittue is a consortium of Brevard College, the USDA Forest Service, and the Cradle of Forestry in America Interpretive Association. They offer a series of in-depth workshops each summer.
