Environmental Education and Interpretation

A wide variety of environmental education activities/programs are available for students, organizations, and other members of the public. Anyone interested in these educational opportunities is encouraged to contact District personnel for more information.

The Valley City WMD has a very active environmental education program. A variety of programs and activities are available for students, organizations, and other members of the public. Especially noteworthy annual events include the Barnes County Youth Outdoors Festival (J.A.K.E.S. Day), and the Valley City Christmas Bird Count.

A self-guided nature trail is available at District headquarters.
