Hunting

Chase Lake NWR provides valuable staging and resting areas for migratory birds each fall. To minimize disturbance to migratory birds Chase Lake NWR is only open to deer hunting after migratory birds have migrated south for the winter.

Firearms Deer Season

The Refuge is open to deer hunting during the State proclaimed deer firearm season. Hunters may enter the Refuge on foot only.

Archery Deer Season

The Refuge is open to archery deer hunting beginning with the start of the State proclaimed deer firearm season. Hunters may enter the Refuge on foot only.
