Native and Tame Grass Seedings

The establishment of grass on former cropland is a priority for inducing positive wildlife habitat changes within the CLPP. To this end, we offer both native and tame grass seedings to interested landowners. These seedings are completed under a contract which allows time for the grasses to become established. All currently cropped lands statewide are eligible. The planting must be left idle or be managed under a rotational grazing system for the duration of the contract. The cooperator is allowed to hay the grass seeding, but must agree to delay that activity until after July 15th of each contract year.

Please contact us if you are interested in these programs.
