Public Use

Waterfowl Production Areas offer many opportunities for wildlife observation, hiking, hunting, photography, winter sports (cross-country skiing) and education and interpretation for organized groups. Walk in access is permitted year-round though vehicle use is prohibited.

Unless specifically closed, all WPA's are open to public fishing, hunting, and trapping during the regular North Dakota open seasons. Camping is not allowed on WPA's.

No fees are charged to access the WPA's.
