Volunteers Needed to Help Cleanup Local Refuges

Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge

  • Trash pick-up, Historic Jungle Trail, northern 4 miles
  • Trash pick-up, Bird's Impoundment Trail, 2 1/2 miles
  • Trash pick-up, Pete's Impoundment Trail, 2 1/2 miles
  • Habitat restoration, weeding the refuge butterfly garden

Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge

  • Trash pick-up, Bonsteel Beach Park

Bags, rubber gloves and bottled water will be provided. To sign up to volunteer at a refuge site, call Joanna Webb at 772/562-3909 ext 258 or email at pelicanisland@fws.gov
