Mattole River Water Quality Monitoring

About the Mattole River Estuary/Lagoon Water Quality Monitoring Program:

In 2006, the AFWO partnered with the Mattole Salmon Group (MSG), to evaluate water quality of the Mattole River estuary/lagoon located approximately 60 miles south of Eureka, California. Assessments were intended to evaluate the water quality in the context of its suitability for juvenile Chinook salmon rearing in the lagoon during the summer, and to help the MSG establish a long-term monitoring program.
