Quality Assurance/Quality Control

About the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program:

In order to collect data that consistently represents environmental conditions, it is important to develop a thorough protocol to obtain comparable data. As part of its ongoing monitoring efforts, the Arcata Fish and Wildlife Office (AFWO) has developed quality assurance/ quality control (QA/QC) documents that guide field crews in the appropriate methods for collection of field data. These individual documents have evolved to incorporate improvements in the industry and the most applicable field techniques. Specifically, QA/QC documents have been developed for the following programs; Datasonde calibration and maintenance and nutrient grab sample collection and handling.
