MISCELLANEOUS

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service has prepared a report for the Western Regional Panel entitled "The 100th Meridian Inititive: A Strategic Approach to Prevent the Westward Spread of Zebra Mussels and Other Aquatic Nuisance Species".

The 100th Meridian Initiative was created by the Western Regional Panel to help stop the westward spread of zebra mussels past the 100th meridian, the north-south line which passes through the North American prairie states and provinces of Manitoba, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. To find about data from boater surveys, educational projects and meetings, visit http://www.100thmeridian.org.
