NC Jr. Duck Stamp Winners and Wildlife/Wildlands Art Expo - Opening Reception Friday 5-8pm
This Friday, May 10, from 5 to 8 pm, the public is invited to the Opening Reception for the first of a series of Wildlife/Wildlands of Eastern North Carolina Art Expos. The auditorium at the new National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center on Roanoke Island will serve as the art gallery. The reception and the two-month exhibit are free and open to the public. Art work will be available for sale both during the reception and for the duration of the exhibit.
North Carolina winners for the Junior Duck Stamp Competition will also be exhibited during the event.
Artists for the May/June Art Expo include Photographers Michael Halminski and Jeff Lewis and painters Susan VanGieson, Julie Dillon and Hubby Bliven.
Plans are now underway for the second Wildlife/Wildlands Art Expo which will have an opening reception on July 12. Interested artists should contact Susie Kowlok at 252-473-1132 X 226 or email@example.com.
The National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center is free and open to the public 9 - 4 Monday - Saturday and noon - 4 on Sundays. The Center is located on the north end of Roanoke Island.
Winning entries for the North Carolina Junior Duck Stamp competition will be exhibited at the Wildlife/Wildlands of Eastern North Carolina Art Expo at the National Wildlife Refuges Visitor Center.
