Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge Seeks Community Help in Sharing Buffalo City History

As a part of the interpretive and educational exhibits at the new Coastal NC National Wildlife Refuges Gateway Visitor Center, there will be a theater representative of the ol' General Store in historic Buffalo City. And, we need your help! Wilderness Graphics, the exhibits contractor based in Tallahassee, Florida, is in need of artifacts and photos depecting life in Dare County during the days when Buffalo City was a thriving town. Photos will be copied and returned. If you have artifacts, we would love to borrow them or accept them as donations! If you have something for us to consider, please contact Martha Howell at 252-475-1117 or manteomartha@hotmail.com.
