Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge Roadside Cleanup Rescheduled for Sunday, March 8 at 1:30 pm

Weather could not have been worse for the scheduled litter pick-up on Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge last Sunday afternoon. Therefore, the refuge has rescheduled the clean-up for Sunday, March 8th at 1:30 p.m. located on the south end of Pea Island. Look for the blinking lights at Mirlo Beach, or call 252-987-1118 for further details. “The weather looks great and so much work needs to be done. Grab a pair of gloves, some determination and join refuge staff, Coastal Wildlife Refuge Society members, and local volunteers in an effort to keep our beaches and roadsides pristine for all to enjoy,” said Abbey Reibel, Refuge Volunteer Coordinator.
