Don't miss out on Aquarium After Hours
Aquarium After Hours is a first-ever event added to the 11th
Annual Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival to be held Nov. 6-11 in
northeastern North Carolina in locations along the Outer Banks.
What could be more perfect than a day of birding, paddling or
learning a new skill? Only a day ending with an after-hours social at
the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island! Participants may tour
the entire Aquarium while sipping a glass of wine or soda and
munching a little cheese and fruit, while enjoying this exclusive
event accessible only to those who register in advance. Cost for this
private, two-hour social and tour set for 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.
10, is just $10.
Alligators, snakes, fishes of all sorts, and even a few
mammals found along the coast are just some of the critters that call
this facility home. The Graveyard of the Atlantic tank is a favorite
with visitors who are in awe of the sharks that lazily swim through
the water.
The Wings Over Water Wildlife Festival is sponsored by the US
Fish and Wildlife Service, Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce, Carolina
Bird Club, the Coastal Wildlife Refuge Society, Roanoke Island
Festival Park and the Outer Banks Sentinel.
For more information about programs and registration, visit
