The event is scheduled for May 6 from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm and will include a variety of free activities designed to introduce people to the refuge and the resources it harbors. Activities will include canoeing and kayaking, nature walks, roving birders, beach games, and a few simple refreshments. The Visitor Center will be open, offering wildlife exhibits, all kinds of information, and the Book Store/Gift Shop.
