1. tracks Frog
Frogs are an important part of a wetland ecosystem and provide food for larger water birds like: Great Blue Heron and even Sandhill Cranes.

2.tracks Snowy egret
Snowy Egrets are long-necked and long-billed birds that prowl the shores of wetlands hunting for tasty fish and insect morsels.

3.tracks Mallard Duck
The plentiful Mallard duck and its tracks can be seen waddling along mud flats and pond shorelines throughout both Refuges.

4.tracks Snowshoe Hare
The Snowshoe hares aren't typically seen on the Refuges, but is found at higher elevation in the San Luis Valley. And a great food source for the newly reintroduced Canada Lynx.
