Comprehensive Assessment & Monitoring Program (CAMP)
- To assess overall effectiveness of CVPIA habitat restoration (108KB PDF) actions in the Central Valley of California.
- To assess relative effectiveness of habitat restoration methods.
CAMP primarily relies on other agencies such as the California Department of Fish & Game to collect the raw data summarized in our annual reports. See our Partnerships page.
Currently, CAMP focuses on anadromous fish species. The CAMP Implementation Plan (16.5MB PDF) describes how the program will monitor anadromous fish abundance and assess the relative effectiveness of restoration methods.
To achieve the first program goal, we assess effectiveness of the restoration actions toward meeting Anadromous Fish Restoration Program (AFRP) fish production targets.
To implement the second program goal, we assess the relative effectiveness of habitat restoration categories (water management modifications, structural modifications, habitat restoration, and fish screens) toward meeting AFRP fish production targets.
The fish production targets are quantified in the AFRP's Final Restoration Plan for the Anadromous Fish Restoration Program (4.2MB PDF).
