Endangered Species Program
The Endangered Species Act provides a critical safety net for America’s at-risk native fish, wildlife and plants. This program is implementing that safety net throughout much of California. Recovery is the ultimate goal of the ESA.
Working to reduce the effects of contaminants and other stressful impacts on fish wildlife and their habitats and to plan, implement and monitor restoration projects so that fish and wildlife resources can be recovered.
